Passports are good.
Does anyone have anything else to add?
use enough scope.
Checklists can help even the most seasoned sailor make the trip more safe, efficient and enjoyable. While everyone's boat, reason for sailing, sailing grounds, etc. is a little different, the following links can help get you started in creating personalized checklists for your boat and crew:

Many Passports are powered by the Nanni diesel. This is a marinized Mercedez engine which comes in a couple of different variations. The 42hp engine is also known as the Mercedes OM636. Once you know where to look, parts for it are not so hard to find.
Parts sources include:
Thermoking: http://www.thermoking.com/tk/index.asp
West 4X4 in England: http://www.west4x4.demonweb.co.uk/OM636/index.html
Manfred Prinz at West 4 X 4 is very knowledgable and helpful. He rebuilds Nannis and supplies most all parts including service and overhaul manuals and ships worldwide. He can even take your old engine in trade for a new rebuilt one.
While Thermoking does have some parts available, their use of the engine is in 18-wheeler referidgerated trailers and their knowledge of marine applications very limited.
I like the Passport 40.
